Although it is great info, it is a science text, so it's easy for your mind to wander.Before I started doing the assigned readings, I was failing the class, but once I cracked this baby open, I was a straight-A student once again. One of my favorite parts is "notes 'n quotes" for each plant, tidbits that didn't fit anywhere else.After listing all this for each plant, the author takes the information the other way and presents innumerable conditions and the plants to consider as remedies. Once again, Keith Seume has written a must-have book for every VW air-cooled enthusiast. A fine addition to any library.. Jim Vescovi tells a beautiful story of the immigrant and first generation Italian American experience in this great book. Readers with little science education might be a little overwhelmed at times, though. He gives a protocol for collecting plant medicines. Since we can't have him for that, this book is the next best thing.I only wish the pictures were in color, but there are many plant books out there with color plates so you can use those instead. It's a source of animated gifs for web designers (I have the running cat image that's been going around.)For people who want to understand animals in general, this is a good reference. I cried.
