During the year, some well-meaning but frustrating relatives and other unusual characters also make an appearance, including some Romanian truck-drivers and a lady with a moustache.. However, a lot of hard work is involved in renovating an aged farmhouse. Regional cuisine such as wild boar and mushrooms is on the menu, and a few country wine recipes are included for good measure. Despite not speaking French, this did not deter the author when an opportunity arose to embrace a more self-sufficient, ecological lifestyle. In this amusing narrative, Robert Martin reveals what life is really like in the Sologne countryside. Particularly when it doesn't have a bathroom. The customary dealings with bureaucracy cause tremendous frustration for his wife (who despite being French herself has a thoroughly un-French view of things)Why did they choose such geographically inhospitable terrain on which to build? Why there?Their time on this earth lasted a scant 800 years and then, as quickly as it began, it stopped. Until something better comes along, I would consider this book a "must-have" for any serious student or collector of Audubon's art.. Instead, the focus of the book seems to be largely a history and architectural overview of the EFI and UEFI standards and interfaces development, which is interesting to some software engineers, but not terribly useful to people hoping to interface to UEFI software. I find them to be a consistently good value.. I want to say that the author did an excellent job in making a very tough subject look hopeful. Audubon's famous work is a must have for every bird or nature enthusiast. I found this book to be very good; if you're from the Mid Atlantic States it's a great book! Many of the photos and stories are very good; almost all are black and white. The text is exactly the same, the only difference are the pictures and diagrams (and the price tag). There was no Mavis or Nadine--just the case--going from one thing to another. Good boo
