I used Zimmer, Rothman, and Marisetty's book as an introduction to EFI. Therefore, the owner and user of this book wouldn't need to see details on the animal photos, just the form.. If you like French haute cuisine, this book will give you a lot of insights into how it's created -- not how it's cooked, but the amazing amount of work by a large group of people to produce and serve it. They made hard choices, sacrificed and paved the way for their children and grand children. It features not only horses but lions, deers, oxen, elephants, birds and kangaroos. I cried. Wonderful phrases. True to life stories of this beloved grandparents and their antics. Sure, there are endless scenes of Loiseau in search of ingredients, meeting with architects, etc., but nothing to make the reader TASTE the result. Muybridges momumental work photographing animals in all different gates and poses and tests of ability. :). This is a great reference for artists who want to create realistic images of animals in motion. I liked it so much that I bought the kindle version to use as a reference. Why not watch Loiseau actually cook something, describe how something is transformed in the kitchen, show what makes the difference between a two-star and a three-star meal.
