This is his weakest by far. I think that in todays world we lose sight of what is important. He was delighted with the quality and the illustrations and information provided. Incredibly well written, hilarious and informative. this is the perfect book. Analytical gas chromatography, second edition is an excellent reference book for those of us who take gas chromatography seriously, not as a fringe technology, nor learn enough to get by. I buy them every year for myself and friends.. He seemed to enjoy it. Entries reveal his efforts protect the Jews of France.. Don't hesitate to stop and look up terms to get the full grasp of what is going on.Now that I'm in the field, I still use this book all the time. All I can say it that this entire Rain Series is a wonderful read. Each color plate is a photograph of 6 - 26 collected specimens arranged together by taxonomy.
